Hulsbosch wins Gold and Silver at 2022 Sydney Design Awards

Hulsbosch was awarded the gold and silver trophies for best in category work at the 2022 Sydney Design Awards.

The brand logo and visual identity for SBS Australia’s newest free-to-air multilingual news channel, SBS WorldWatch took top honours in the ‘Graphic Design – Identity and Branding: Community’ category. Whilst the reposition and rebrand of Australia’s leading digital outdoor advertising firm, QMS Media was awarded Silver in the ‘Graphic Design – Identity and Branding: Corporate’ category.

For SBS WorldWatch, the idea of ‘Channelling Unity’ was the inspiration for the brand identity. The visual identity features a bold mnemonic shape comprised of two parts, an iconic Australian imagery overlaid with diverse international scenes. This all comes together to symbolise unity, connection to the world and a singular destination for news programs.

The silver trophy for Hulsbosch was achieved with a newly created brand strategy, logo and visual identity for QMS that is formed from the simple core idea of ‘Out of the Ordinary’, representing both the people at QMS and the strategic direction of the business.

Run-by and voted-by industry peers, the Sydney Design Awards program celebrates the creativity and courage of those who are leading the way in the Sydney design market.
